Small World is the only family travel and outdoor leisure magazine in UK national circulation for parents of children from birth to 18 years. Features will include contributions from the readership about their own travel and leisure experiences, combined with expertise from our contributors on medical issues, product reviews and all kinds of travel conundrums and ideas.
Issue 1 came out at the end of June 2006.
Readership
Predominantly ABC1 parents who travel or undertake outdoor activities with their dependent children of all age groups. Others will be grandparents, or working with children. While their budgets and tastes vary widely, the readers are all well educated, discerning and reasonably affluent.
Readership will be worldwide, but with the majority resident in the UK. Circulation 30,000 copies per issue, starting from Issue 1, available by subscription only.
Promotional copies will be sent out at start-up to customers on the mailing list of the publisher’s sister company, Young Explorers, which is the market leader in its field in the UK. It sells the UK ’s most comprehensive range of outdoor clothing and equipment for ages 0-16 years. Potential subscribers will be cherry-picked from this list.
